ABOUT MIDI
In the summer of 2023, a group of Little Tart managers went to Paris for a week. We sat in parks hungrily scarfing down baguettes, walked through museums looking at Impressionist paintings and cooled off in the afternoon with scoops of ice cream paired with natural wines.
On the last day of the trip, we entered a sandwich shop. We had traversed town just to try the sandwiches here, and as we crammed into the lunchtime queue we simply hoped it had been worth the walk.We eagerly carried our sandwiches into a nearby garden and pulled up chairs next to a reflecting pool before taking our first bite. Once we took that first bite, there was no turning back - is there anything more perfect than a well-made sandwich on a hot summer day? No muss, no fuss. Just fresh bread and thoughtfully selected ingredients.
We spent the next two years joking about opening a sandwich shop, and when we walked into the Candler Park space for the first time, we knew we wanted to bring another corner of Paris to Atlanta.
Midi is our home for the sandwiches we want eat day in and day out. They are sandwiches we pick up for ourselves and our friends and take to the lake for the day. They are sandwiches we snack on in the brief window of time between leaving work and picking the kids up from school. They are sandwiches we eat while catching up with an old friend, maybe with a glass or two of wine and swirl of soft serve.
